About Me

Hello. My name is Trey McGee and I am a theatre artist based in Brooklyn, New York. My mission is to make engaging and accessible art through laughter and music.

As an actor I am a passionate disciple of physical theatre and the language of the body. I take much influence from such masterminds as Charlie Chaplin, Marcel Marceau, and Dick Van Dyke. I have trained in mime (with Gregg Goldston) and Commedia Dell’Arte (with Rich Brown) and am always looking for more knowledge and experience.

As a sound designer I strive to be a pleasant team member and a hard worker. My techniques include field recordings, sampling, and original music compositions in order to help realize my client’s vision. I have years of experience with Ableton Live, which I have used for live theatre, film scoring, and Covid-conscious virtual theatre.

As a composer and producer I use music as my main method of expression. Under the moniker “Dwayne” (a family nickname), I am always exploring new sounds and directions. While I have recorded and released two collections of original synth-pop music (Hey Dude! and In the House), I also occasionally work on hip-hop beat production.

I hope you enjoy your visit here to my site. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you wish to work together, or just want an opportunity to get to know each other.

Until then,

Trey
